It´s completely wrong comparing the commercial/professional software w/ these tons of freeware devices made w/ Synthedit.
Native instruments komplete 9 ultimate tpb pro#
Well the top "analog" VI OPX Pro II is also made w/ Synthedit. Sonically and usability / GUI wise, it is far superior to everything that I've experienced from Arturia.Ī lot of people dissed them because they were made with SynthEdit and felt that they were somehow "lesser" of a vst because of it. If I had the choice between the two that you had mentioned only, I would go with Komplete - based solely on the quality of 'workmanship' that NI has put in to Reaktor. I've also listened to demos of most of their hardware emulations as well as played with their Moog modular emulation.įrom the demos and videos - the ARP 2600 emulation is the only one that came really close to sounding like the original. Outside of it's mild 'moodiness' and crashing at the odd time, requiring a restart, I do love it for it's percussive sonic potential. I DO own Arturia's Spark 'Creative Drum Machine' though, which I use with my Macbook Air. But Native Instruments' Reaktor V5.9 has become my most favourite soft-synth period. I'm coming from the old days of hardware synths modular synths as well as hardware synths, that are running software.

I can't vouch for anything from Komplete at all. Sonic Projects OPX (Pro/ II) is the solution for the time being,- or the new freeware OBXDįor the grid of a Oberheim SEM,- in software you could be fine with: There´s nothing sounding like Oberheim OBX, OBXa, OB-8 in NI-Komplete or Arturia collections nor does that functionality exist in form of a GUI.

Well,- sometimes usage of a plugin is easier in todays sequencer projects and soooner or later I´ll upgrade to Komplete 10 and then I´ll have it.

I don´t know if I´d need NI Monark because I own a Minimoog D. Memorymoon plugins,- the "Memorymoon" itself, "Messiah" and "ME80". Instead I´ve found some other and much cheaper plugins I liked more not only because these were cheaper. I don´t own any Arturia product even I was interested many years ago but couldn´t decide to sell my hardware. So, I don´t know the additional sample content incl. I like NI Komplete and upgraded since I buyed Komplete 2 special edition. O.k., I´m still w/ Komplete 7 and didn´t upgrade because I´m still on Win XP,- LOL. I´m also surprised what a OPX from Sonic Projects V-Machine bundle does because it sounds amazing from the V-Machine and the whole box would be a piece of crap I´d throw into the bin if the SP V-Machine bundle wouldn´t exist. It does all my OB-8 did and I sold my Oberheim Matrix-1000. OPX-Pro II doesn´t replace a Oberheim Xpander in functionality, but it makes some Xpander-like sounds for sure. I also owned a Oberheim OB-8 as 1st owner and still own and work w/ a Oberheim Xpander. OPX-Pro II is a killer VI,- I own all the versions, OPX, OPX-Pro and Pro II. My DSI P8 needs to get a repair, would be cool to mess with OPX while that is being done. Going to download the demo tonight when I get home from work. I have to say this thread has renewed my interest in OPX-Pro. As of now 9 out of 10 are picking Komplete in the poll.
